Memberships David G. Posz is the founder and managing partner of the firm. Mr. Posz’s experience in the area of intellectual property law, as well as his knowledge of both U.S. and foreign patent laws, enable him to provide valuable services and advice to his clients regarding strategies for protecting and leveraging intellectual property. Mr. Posz has been involved in all aspects of patent law, including writing, preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, preparing patent invalidity and non-infringement opinions, developing global patent strategies and counseling clients on a wide variety of intellectually property issues. He represents both emerging and established high technology companies in the United States as well as several large Japanese corporations. Prior to founding the firm in January 2000, Mr. Posz worked in private practice as a patent attorney for five years and then spent two years as in-house U.S. patent counsel at IPICS Corporation (a subsidiary of DENSO Corporation) in Nagoya, Japan. While in Japan, he maintained and prosecuted patent applications on a global basis and worked with patent engineers at IPICS and DENSO to improve their skills in preparing and prosecuting U.S. patent applications. Regarding patents, Mr. Posz’s areas of expertise include semiconductor devices and fabrication methods, automotive electronics, systems and parts, wireless communication systems, optics, superconductor technology and satellite and antenna systems.
