Education Kiyoshi Kozu is an associate attorney with the firm. Prior to joining Posz Law Group, he was involved in a career with the IP Division with Seiko Epson Corporation in Nagano, Japan for over 20 years. For the first 12 years with Seiko Epson, Mr. Kozu was a Team Leader with the IP Department. He was later promoted to Patent Manager of the IP Department at Epson R&D in San Jose, California. While in the U.S. he worked as a Visiting Patent Professional with a private IP law firm in Michigan. Mr. Kozu returned to Japan in 2005 and held the position of an Attorney at Law with the Licensing Department in the IP Division of Seiko Epson. Mr. Kozu's patent prosecution experience includes technologies related to watches, semiconductor devices and processes, liquid crystal display devices, magnetic materials and motors, and printers. His patent licensing experience includes handling negotiations with U.S., Japanese, Korean and Chinese companies and drafting agreements related thereto. Mr. Kozu was involved in patent litigation proceedings before the Japanese district court, U.S. district courts, and the U.S. International Trade Commission. Mr. Kozu is fluent in Japanese (native speaker) and English.
