James M. Alpert is an associate attorney with Posz Law Group. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Alpert worked for three years as an examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office and for one year as an attorney in the electrical group at Birch, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch.   

Mr. Alpert’s areas of patent expertise are primarily in the electrical and electronic commerce arts, and include semiconductor technologies, circuits and circuit devices, radio and telecommunication devices, software, automated teller machines and networks, smart card technologies, electronic auctions and securities markets, and electronic credit processing.  Mr. Alpert additionally has experience prosecuting patent applications concerning printers, copiers, and facsimile machines.
